Service Account Manager

As a Service Account Manager, you will be the primary contact for the Client, General Contractor, and/or Property Manager responsible for excellent customer service and meeting goals to meet our customers electrical needs that result in new and repeat business opportunities.

Essential Functions

  • Pursue known opportunities for account growth and new business
  • Ensure that all processes and procedures are completed; quality standards met, and projects / accounts are profitable.
  • Approves Change Orders and invoices and is responsible for assisting with collections.
  • Understands company capabilities and services, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
  • Works closely with the Service team to maintain continuous knowledge of project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project
  • Ensures client issues are handled efficiently, informing the VP of Service of any potential problems
  • Reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met
  • Provides regular communication between the customer and team, providing strong team representation
  • Reports to the Senior Service Account Manager, providing weekly updates on all accounts or projects including monthly status
  • Meet with clients/customers on a regular basis to continue to develop the business relationship
  • All work will be performed according to company policies, values and standards
  • Provide technical and problem resolution assistance to Service Technicians. Directly supervise critical work situations as required
  • Perform job-site visits and provide estimating information for service sales as needed.
  • Possess and demonstrate strong commercial electrical service and maintenance skills, including electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Maintain current required licenses/certificates for the classifications of the work supervised.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the current NEC, NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA and other technical and safety codes and requirements.
  • Enforce compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards
  • Maintain professional relationships with owners/contractors and peers
  • Collaborate with all team members of our field and office adopting a positive attitude with a focus on creating positive working relationships that foster teamwork with all departments of our organization.
  • Communicate regularly with your team to improve processes
  • Identify potential candidates for service technician positions
  • Schedule Flexibility to be on-call

The person must be able to follow verbal and written directions (including the reading of drawings/blueprints) and must be able to analyze and evaluate data.

The person must be capable of talking with and signaling people to convey or exchange information in a demanding environment as described below and must be able to read and write.

The person must possess the ability to understand the significance of electricity and his/her role on a dynamic, changing worksite, and must perform without presenting a safety threat to self, co-workers, and other people.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position occasionally has the responsibility of supervising workers with less experience and training them.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Exempt -This is a full-time position and occasionally can require that you work over 40 hours a week

Travel

This position does require occasional travel to jobsites.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of working as an Electrical Service Technician, Project Manager, Estimator or similar experience in the Electrical Construction Industry
  • Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Journeyman Electrical License or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven Account Management skills that create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
  • Demonstrated Technical experience using software, hardware, networks
  • High initiative and proven experience working well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience handling deadline pressures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Software
  • Experience using Accubid; Viewpoint by Vista or similar systems
  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with clients
